Our platform: The Modgut Algorithm

Our proprietary algorithm will interpret gut microbiome profiles by analyzing microbiome markers against our reference database, to auto generate & simplify results through clear and intuitive visualizations.

DNA
Next generation sequencing
We sequence the V4 hypervariable region of the 16S rRNA gene using next-generation sequencing technology to detect gut microbiota. This region enables the capture of all bacteria and archaea.
Database
Specific database of ASEAN gut
We develop a reference database of gut microbiota specifically for Thai people, encompassing diversity across all age groups and genders.
Book Ribbon
International publication
We compile gut microorganisms related to human health from hundreds of international publications.
Fork Spoon
Personalized food recommendation
We offer tailored food recommendations based on gut microbiome profiles using our food selector algorithm.
Gut Dysbiosis Score (GDS)*

From our proprietary database, Modgut GDS is a measure of gut dysbiosis, reflecting the balance of harmful and beneficial bacteria compared to healthy individuals.

Gut Dysbiosis

Our GDS ranges from 1 to 10, with higher scores indicating worse conditions. Specifically:

  • 1: Normal
  • 2-3: Mild dysbiosis
  • 4-7: Moderate dysbiosis
  • 8-9: High dysbiosis
  • 10: Severe dysbiosis

Patients with moderate to severe gut dysbiosis should urgently adjust their dietary patterns to reduce the risk of developing related diseases.

*Modgut is proud to announce that it has filed its first patent application for “Methods for Determining Gut Microbiome Health” with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). This filing demonstrates Modgut’s commitment to innovating as we sequence, analyze, and provide high accuracy, individualized microbiome data to our customers.
